Citrus Garland DIY

The time has come for ALL the Christmas decorations! YAY! At this point, Christmas music and Christmas decor is SO game. Talk to me a few weeks into December and then we’ll see where we’re at BUT as of now, it’s ALL GOOD! I’m sure you feel my enthusiasm through the screen lol.

Anyway, I’ve always seen the really perfect citrus garlands in magazines and at stores, and I’ve just thought they seemed so pretty but were hard to do. Um, boy was I wrong! I found the recipe in an upcoming Advent Calendar and am in love! This super pretty and festive garland is actually the easiest thing ever! It makes your house smell great, it lasts through the season and the materials are simple and classic.

Citrus Garland:

This is what you’ll need:

  • 5-8 pieces of citrus fruits (oranges, grapefruit, lemons, blood oranges)
  • Cloves (optional)
  • String

Cut the fruit into thin slices. Place them on a baking sheet and into the oven at 200 F for 6 hours. Rotate each hour! The fruit continues to dry as you pull it out. Just make a little hole at top of fruit with scissors and string it.

Easy, beautiful, and classic!

Hope you enjoy this as much as I do!
