A Bathroom Renovation- Part One (inspiration)

It’s a foggy Monday here in Dallas today. The perfect time to cocoon up and start dreaming of something great. I haven’t told you guys yet, but I’m moving! Yep, so long small apartment stuffed with knick-knacks and treasures because I’m moving somewhere just a bit tighter. I wish I could say I was moving into a tiny home, but I’m not (although the tight concept is the same), I’m actually moving to >drum roll please< to my parents home! I know, not the yippee we’re all looking for BUT it’s actually a good thing. Due to the very exciting fact that I MAY be moving to a different locale in the fall, I needed to make sure I didn’t resign my apartment lease, and so to the parent’s house we go. Lulu’s happy, she’ll run free at Grandpa’s all day long.

Anywho- I’m telling you this because my dad has been gracious enough to turn an area under the stairs that originally was used as a closet, into a tiny bathroom for me! It’s great since that means I’ll have my privacy. It’s been a process, but it’s actually very exciting to pick out tile and what not to make my tiny bathroom work for me. So today I’m pulling lots of fun web finds for a tiny bathroom. This is just part one, the next part will show the process and then finally the reveal!

Let’s start with the sink:

Since it’s actually a very narrow space, I’ve already chosen my sink- who-hoo!

This is what I got:

It’s super slimline and gives me the space I will need.

I love this look too.

And this one is so pretty-

I have a thing for the turquoises I guess, lol.

We already got the shower too, but that wasn’t so exciting since we had to grab the smallest most narrow stand up shower we could find. I’m a small person, but man, I’ll have to get used to not bumping myself constantly in this tube.

I do have to choose a shower curtain and rod- and since the shower stall is so narrow, I’ll have to get a curtain and cut it to make sure it fits just right. I did find this rod DIY that I love!

I can def make something like this to take advantage of the most space that I can with the shower space.

Okay, now onto what I really love. I originally wanted a floor tile that was exciting and really drew the eye in BUT alas, we can’t put tile on the floor due to …. well, just because the boss said no. SO- I can at least dream. I did love these looks though:

He did say that I could add some wall tile, so I decided on the most basic and clean look that is really popular right now (and is always) and that’s the white subway tile look! It just always looks fresh:

My bathroom still has so much work, but i’ll keep you posted so stay tuned for the part two! Happy leap day!
