Happy Saturday!
I don’t normally post on Saturdays, but I decided to make a new weekend post called Sketchy Saturdays. It’ll be mostly photos of just random writings, drawings, watercolors and of course sketches that I come up with during the week. Since this month we are focusing on refreshment and pursuing our goals, I thought I’d share my sketchbook because it really is a tool that I use to relieve stress and refocus myself. Tons of people have sketchbooks that serve as private diaries as well, but mine is mostly for collecting thoughts, practicing my watercolors and just dreaming.
This was the second week of school and oh man, you could definitely feel it. The buzz that back to school brings is actually refreshing! I stopped by a campus earlier in the week and this is what I sketched quickly while I waited.
Buildings always catch my attention- and this old school really was impressive! I wish I could’ve drawn the feeling of excitement of the kids inside but they were middle schoolers and well, who knows what they are really feeling :).
When the summer started I decided I really wanted to get into watercolors. I’ve been experimenting all summer long, but i’m nowhere near as good as my mom (yet). Thankfully watercolors are forgiving!
Have a great weekend and happy Labor Day!
