Word of the Year - 2017 edition

I can’t believe it’s 2017. I know that more than half the month is gone, but still!

I’m STILL having trouble remembering to write ’17 at the end of my journal writings. I started my healthy eating goal just last week. I just put up a new calendar and let’s not even get started on my exercise plan.

You can say 2017 sneaked up on me.

Don’t get me wrong, I love beginnings of years! I love beginnings of anything really: movies, books, relationships, desserts 😉 It’s that satisfying clean slate that I crave. But even though I was late to the game this year with my New Year’s Resolutions and plans, in my heart I wasn’t late with my one very important task: choosing my Word of the Year. It’s something I started doing a few years back and it’s really powerful. I choose a word that will encompass my year, impulse me and drive me to change. Last year I chose the word RISK and boy, did that work! I’m living in Guatemala now for goodness sake! This year I’ve chosen risk’s cousin: FEARLESS.

What does that mean? Oh so many things, but nothing if I don’t take it to heart and implement it in my year. What about you? Maybe you’re on it- you welcomed 2017 with arms wide open while kicking 2016 aside. Maybe you couldn’t wait to get to 2017 and already have your whole year planned. Your crockpot’s doing double duty as you meal plan, workout plan, life plan. Awesome! Maybe your word is Git er’ done! OR maybe you’re a little more like me. Not much of a plan at first, but a little inkling in your heart spurring you and moving you to make this THE year. Turn that inkling into a word and make it your Word of the Year.

So, what’s your word?

Last year I offered a printable with the option to email me with your word choice and I’d email the printable back all purty and personalized.

This year is no different.

Below is the printable I designed! Don’t have a word? Feel free to take mine, just click on it and download. If you want me to plug your word in, just shoot me an email HERE letting me know exactly what word you want and if you need a specific definition.

Happy 2017. It’s not too late to own it.
